Shortcuts to change groups

Hey!

I'm back using my GLM 2 system with GLM 2.2 installed on Mac controlling a couple of 8240's. I'm wondering what the workflow to create Global keyboard (or USB-controller) shortcuts to change groups (e.g. analog/digital etc.) on Mac nowadays? I noticed that Autolink is no longer working so I'm guessing Genelec finally build group changing in to the application somehow but I cant find it? (edit: I need a global way to do this: e.g. a global hotkey or something that gives the same kind of freedom).

So is it also possibly to create shortcuts to specific volumes, now? And while I'm asking is there a new controller out that can change groups + volume out? The old one feels a bit basic.

Thanks! (also this forum editor is bugged, "enter" moves me up to the top of the page).

Hi!

You can use the left-right arrow keys on your keyboard to change groups.

Hello Markus

This is not at all what I am looking for. I need a global hotkey to be able to map it to a USB-device or program it into another kind of quick acess.

This was possible two years ago so I highly doubt Genelec removed it.

Sorry for late reply!

I've asked about this from our GLM developers, and first they would need to know your operating system (Which version?).

There is hotkeys, but the GLM have to be activa so that they work, so would this be OK for your use? This means if you have GLM in the background, the hotkeys unfortunately doesn't work.

Hello Jani!

I am so happy that I got a reply! I stopped checking in and never realized someone did! I had all but given up no staying with digital speakers :).

My OS is Mac OS 10.13.6

No, it would have to work even if GLM 3 was NOT selected!

A very easy solution would be for Genelec to simply allow GLM 3 to be able to run a GLM 3 setup file. Then I could just program a usb device (like a Shuttle Xpress) to run a specific site setting with the correct calibration (or even a group if you were implement an executable file in every group folder).
