Thank you for all the years of Community discussions and activity!

The time has come for us to retire the community forums, but we will keep everything available for reading. There is a lot of valuable content written over the years, and you'll be able to access all of that. However, no new posts can be written, or old posts modified.

Alternatively, if you wish to engage in a community discussion with other people, there are many active forums available. There is also an active, fan managed GENELEC COMMUNITY in Facebook, and many Genelec employees are active in the discussions there.

We are sorry for any possible inconvenience this may cause you, but we hope to hear from you through the other channels mentioned above.

Suggestion für new feature in GLM

Hi Genelec Team,

I would like to suggest a new feature for the upcoming GLM software versions.

It would be a great help for me if there would be a chance to have the possibility to play a constant „pink Noise“ or something similar with active microphone and visualisation of the room response/SAM frequency in real time.

This will allow me to optimize my speaker position in my room easily with real time visualization of the SAM frequency. In parallel it will allow me to see and test the impact of absorbers/diffusors in my room  before final placement/mounting to the wall/seeling. In addition the RT60 value with identification of the frequencies would be nice.

Do you think there is a chance to get this feature?

Thanks for your information. Regards, Ralf

Hi!

Thanks for the proposal. I am sorry to say but what you are asking is not very easy or even feasible to implement in the GLM platform. You are referring to a real time measurement of the frequency response in the room and this is not at all accurate or the desired way to measure. But anyway thatk you for your feedback and we always value new ideas and do our best to implement the needs of our customers. In your case we may need to come up with something a bit more clever and accurate, stay tuned.

Best Regards, Markus
